The 21st COMESA Summit has been held in Egypt
Under the theme “Building Resilience through Strategic Digital Economic Integration”, the 21st COMESA Summit has been held in Egypt on November 2, 2021, aiming at promoting economic digitalization to facilitate business practices across COMESA member states, besides enabling its member states to encounter the consequences of Corona Pandemic, developing joint investments in various areas of infrastructure, such as: telecommunications, transportation, energy,… etc., and deepening economic integration as well.
It is noteworthy that COMESA stands for Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, which is a preferential trade area with a membership of 19 countries, extending from Libya to Zimbabwe, and aiming at promoting regional integration through trade, and developing natural & human resources for the common benefit of all people in the region.
