Charting new avenues of collaborations among Muslim investors, ICCIA is collaborating with KSI Strategic Institute for Asia Pacific and Global One, under the patronage of the Government of Sarawak, in organizing the 2nd edition of the Global Muslim Business Forum 2023, which will take place under the theme of “Innovations and Transformation in Islamic Economies”, from 28th to 30th of November 2023, at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

In the light of the crucial significance of digitalization in promoting SMEs and advancing economic development, ICCIA participated in the “Role of Credit Information Sharing & Business Intelligence in Supporting Trade & Investment Decisions – A Capacity-Building Programme for Users of the OBIC”

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in AAOIFI-ISDB 17th Annual Islamic Banking and Finance Conference, which is considered one of the most important gatherings in the Islamic finance industry for which Shari’ah scholars, policymakers, and decision-makers come together on one platform for deliberations on pressing topics in the Islamic finance industry globally.

In light of ICCIA’s ceaseless commitment to working on the development of its member states, H.E. Abdullah Saleh Kamel, President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture and H.E. Mr. Yousef Khalawi, the Secretary-General, participated in the 38th Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), held in Istanbul, Turkey, in the presence of H.E. Mr. Rajab Tayeb Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye and his Deputy, as well as H.E. Mr. Noureddin Nabati, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mr. Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and H.E. Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB and Vice-President of ICCIA.

The Islamic Chamber participated in “Azerbaijan Investment & Youth Entrepreneurship Forum”, which gathered around 50 startups from across the world to showcase their newest innovations and pitch business to potential global investors.

In partnership with AlBaraka Forum for Islamic Economy and in the presence of a selection of the prominent experts and specialists in the field of Islamic economics, AlBaraka Summit in London was held under the theme of “Importance of Intellect in Creating Impact” and included a series of fruitful dialogue sessions, which discussed and analyzed a wide range of contemporary issues related to the Islamic economy, as well as exploring ways of promoting the field globally.

In light of ICCIA’s relentless pursuit towards advancing the Islamic economy globally, we were honored to co-organize the Global Muslim Business Forum 2022, which was held virtually, entitled “The Rise of the Global Islamic Economy: Refocusing, Resetting and Recovering in the Post-pandemic Era” in collaboration with the Strategic Institute for Asia and the Pacific, the Kuala Lumpur Economic Club and Global One.

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in the exceptional 100th Anniversary Ceremony of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria and the 40th Anniversary of the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), gathering more than 1000 guests from the economic and business world of the Mediterranean.

In an effort to promote South-South cooperation, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in the Global South-South Cooperation EXPO 2022 (GSSD EXPO) that is being hosted by Bangkok – Thailand, at the United Nations Centre. The exhibition is considered a global platform for joint discussions, sharing success stories and best practices, and exploring opportunities to create a prosperous and sustainable future. .

Believing in the importance of uniting African efforts, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in the 8th Africa Future Forum “Africa Forum of Investment and Commerce” in the presence of prominent high-level government officials, ambassadors, international businessmen and representatives of economic institutions from more than 30 countries, under the title “African Production” on 11-12 May 2022 in Algiers.

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in the 7th edition of CC Forum “Global Investment in Sustainable Development”, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain on 22-23 March 2022, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture participated in the first and largest Halal Forum in Brazil “Global Halal Brazil Forum 2021” as a Supporter, with the sponsorship of Arab- Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Fambras Halal.

In an effort to recover from the economic & social consequences of Corona Pandemic, and develop financial technology in Africa and the whole world, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in the 6th Africa Fintech Summit (AFTS), with the participation of numerous businessmen & international experts.

Striving towards a sustainable future for the upcoming generations in Egypt, ICCIA participated in the 11th Egypt CSR & Sustainable Development Forum entitled “Sustainability Toolbox for Recovery Action” on November 8, 2021.

After a long journey of success in enhancing and promoting the Russian economic and investment sectors, the 12th International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World: Kazan Summit 2021” was launched with the participation of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency (TIDS), and with the support of the Russian Federal Assembly, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).

The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was pleased to participate in the international conference: “Tackling COVID-19 Pandemic: Health, Economic Diplomacy and Social Perspectives”, which was held in cooperation with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the University of Badjadjaran Alumni Association IKA UNPAD and the University of Badjadjaran, as part of global efforts to mitigate the economic repercussions of the COVID-19.
