In view of the global economic challenges and opportunities, the ICCIA has developed a strategic plan to implement its objectives and to address the challenges faced by the private sector in this digitization era.

In this respect, ICCIA will be organizing an Online Workshop on Digital Transformation for the Chambers of Commerce, for enhancing trade facilitation in collaboration with the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC). The Workshop will be held in English on 9-10 November 2021 through zoom application.

The objective is to create a vision among the OIC Member Chambers to set a digital transformation agenda to establish a strategic plan to guide the Chambers in contributing to private sector development. This will support the digital transformation of Chamber for sustainable development, which could lead to increased efficiency of business through innovation. The Workshop will identify challenges faced by the Chambers and explore methods to create awareness and underline the importance of digital transformation for their private sector.

The Workshop will be attended by the top management of the Chambers, who are responsible for establishment of strategies for the Chambers of Commerce. The expert speakers will make presentations and provide a guideline for preparing strategies on Digital Transformation for the Chambers of Commerce. The workshop is focused on the business and strategy side of the Digital Transformation on its technical aspects. This will provide them an opportunity to develop their skills to serve better the private sector of their respective countries.
