Successful conclusion of ICCIA`s “Digital Transformation Workshop” at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its event “Digital Transformation Workshop”, that has been held with the sponsorship of Albaraka Forum for Islamic Economy, and conducted by Eng. Ashraf El Tanbouly, CEO at ICHCS, with his distinctive experience in the digital transformation and business development fields, on 26th – 27th November, 2021, at the world`s largest Exhibition “Expo 2020 Dubai”, under the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”.
As part of the global efforts to enhance economic growth, and with the participation of a selection of digital transformation experts, “Digital Transformation Workshop”, which is a part of ICCIA`s vision towards promoting digitalization, through setting a clear plan & spreading awareness of the dire need to adopt new techniques for establishing a more efficient and sustainable business climate.
“Digital Transformation Workshop” addressed, for two days, means and mechanisms of achieving digital transformation, in order to guide enterprises and institutions in applying the digital transformation process successfully, and raise the awareness about the latest global technological developments, besides promoting and supporting SMEs & entrepreneurs.
The workshop highlighted the paramount importance of new technologies, whereas Eng. Ashraf El Tanbouly, CEO at ICHCS, addressed the role of digital transformation in facilitating all aspects of life, pointing out to the need to raise awareness and change the global culture to be compatible with this process. In addition, Eng. Ashraf El Tanbouly highlighted the leading role of knowledge management in promoting innovation and the keys to a successful digital transformation in any enterprise & institution around the world, stressing that digital transformation is no longer a luxury, but it is an imperative need to keep pace with the international developments.
The workshop had two digital transformation case studies, presented by Eng. Asem Galal, Managing Partner of Galal & Karawi Management Consulting & DMCC and Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, Head of Digital Transformation & Project Management at Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF).
In this regard, Eng. Asem Galal, Managing Partner of Galal & Karawi Management Consulting & DMCC highlighted the huge changes that digital transformation has made in the economic and social interactions across the world within the past few years, clarifying also the challenges that are facing several institutions during the digital transformation process.
Furthermore, Mr. Ahmed Naeemi, Head of Digital Transformation & Project Management at BIBF, emphasized the importance of digital transformation for enterprises & institutions to keep pace with the global technological developments, stressing that it represents a promising opportunity & a great challenge at the same time.
The Islamic Chamber’s Digital Transformation Workshop at Expo 2020 Dubai came as a reinforcing step to promote digital transformation at the regional and global levels, believing in the role it represents in the renaissance of countries in all aspects.
