As part of the e- Empowerment Initiative, launched in Dubai to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs), a partnership has been held between Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development and eBay, a global e-commerce company, aiming to promote the role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in enhancing the e-commerce ecosystem in the United Arab Emirates and achieving economic diversification away from oil.

            According to this partnership, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) would be provided with a guide and best practices in selling on eBay. Medium-large enterprises will also benefit from this partnership, thus contributing to a huge increase in the UAE`s exports to the whole world.
