Under the guidance of His Excellency, President Abdelfattah Al Sisi, to achieve sustainable development in order to enhance the life standards of the Egyptian citizen on multiple levels, CSR EGYPT is proudly announcing the 10th Edition of the Egypt CSR forum on 16th of November 2020 at Intercontinental City stars Cairo Hotel, with the participation of key businessmen, government representatives, in addition to CSR and sustainable development experts with the objective of sharing experiences and formulating effective partnerships that achieve sustainable development according to Egypt vision of 2030.
Highlighting how successfully the Egyptian Government managed and dealt with the challenges resulted from Covid-19 crisis and its consequences will be one of our priorities to show how it integrated all society stakeholders to work effectively and adapt to all possible scenarios.
The forum aims to create an interactive environment for all stakeholders to facilitate strategic level discussions; in order to unify visions, formulate partnerships and provide solutions to the most important issues that will support achieving Egypt Vision 2030, this will be achieved through organizing a number of panel discussions, workshops and bilateral meetings between different stakeholders.
The forum will also discuss a number of topics that can create social impact in the fields of education, health, SMEs and entrepreneurship, in addition to highlighting the mechanisms of achieving sustainable growth for all sectors and means of integrating the informal economy into a formal one, as well as shedding light on the importance of business enterprises’ participation in supporting the government’s plans to establish a social protection network for the Egyptian citizen with an effective utilization of current resources taking into consideration the right of the next generations to benefit from these resources.
It will also address the impact of financial inclusion, digital transformation, and development of sustainable cities, sustainable transport and adoption of the green economy policies in achieving the desired sustainable development.

Mr. Hassan Mostafa, President of@EgyptCsrForum, highlighted the importance of the role of the government, the private sector and the civil society in supporting #Egypt to reach sustainable development.
Collaboration between all the concerned parties is the only way to achieve sustainable development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030″, said by Mr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports.
Mr. Mohamed Saafan, Minister of Manpower, announced the launch of the Individual Welfare Initiative, which aims to identify the demands and needs of the Egyptian youth. He also called for cooperation between all ministries to reach sustainable development in Egypt.
Ms. Nabilah Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs: “We aim to integrate Egyptians abroad in all community initiatives, and to coordinate with the second and third generations of Egyptians abroad to participate in these initiatives.”

Alaa Al-Zuhairi, President of the Egyptian Insurance Federation, addressed during his speech that the insurance industry is one of the important sectors in achieving the principles of sustainable development.
Ambassador Nada Al-Agezy, Director of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States, emphasized the importance of having a map for development projects in the Arab countries to support social responsibility.
Mr. Ahmed Rady, General Manager of@CocaCola Egypt, revealed the company’s attempt to return the water used in the manufacturing process to the community. Also, he addressed that the raw materials were manufactured locally, which helped the production wheel during COVID19.

Eng. Ahmed Kamal, Executive Director of the Environmental Compliance Office and Sustainable Development Federation of Egyptian Industries declared the launching of the Violation Management Division that is working with over 230 plastic recycling companies.
Mr. Amr El-Kady, Regional Director for Egypt, Middle East and Africa – Plastic Bank, addressed the importance of waste recycling in opening new markets and promising economic fields in the future.
Sherine Shaheen, Director of Government Relations and Marketing at Coca-Cola Egypt, explained that the recycling field needs exchanging experiences, as recycling is a societal responsibility and all ages must be integrated into current projects.

@ProcterGamble, highlighted that the companies’ duty is to produce products without a negative environmental impact in order to achieve social responsibility in #Egypt.
Mr. Mohammed bin Kuwair, Senior Manager of International Business at Bee’ah – Dubai, stated that the main challenges that face the recycling field in Egypt is the maturity of legislation, citizens’ awareness and the integration between the different sectors.

Ms. Naglaa Nossier, Head of CSR at #WE, referred to the efforts made by the company to support the affected daily workers, civil society and the Egyptian medical teams in facing COVID19 crisis.
Eng. Maged Hamdy, board member- baheya foundation pointed out that the main problem the faces Baheya is the long waiting lists. Therefore, there had been allotment of 6000 meter for Baheya – Sheikh Zayed branch and the opening will be in less than three years.
Dr. Ahmed Samir, chairman and CEO of the Consumer Protection Agency, assured that the new investment law and exempting companies that specifies 10% of their profits for serving the community from taxes, are important governmental decisions in the last period.
Dalia Akmal, Senior Sustainability Officer at AAIB, highlighted the bank’s efforts in supporting the Ministry of Health and Egyptian medical institutions, in addition to donating 40 million pounds to mitigate the economic impacts of #COVID19 in Egypt.
